couples

You may have noticed that something feels off or that life has become harder than it once was. You might feel lonely even when surrounded by others. You might feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating. In partnerships, this can signal a need for focused communication counseling to rebuild connection and clarity. If you ask yourself “Why am I not happier?” or “Why does this keep happening?”, unspoken pain may be calling for attention.

Knowing you are ready for therapy is not about being “broken.” It’s about wanting to understand your experience more deeply. It’s about healing emotional wounds, reclaiming joy, and building stronger relationships. Therapy is a safe space where you can speak freely, feel heard, and begin making meaningful changes.

If part of what’s stopping you is worrying whether you’ll be judged, you can read more about what an accepting space looks like here.

Signs that therapy could help

  • You feel anxious or worried most days and it is affecting your sleep or how you connect with others
  • You feel sad or overwhelmed and it is hard to feel motivated
  • Your relationships are painful or distant even when you try your best
  • You are coping with grief or life transitions and you feel lost or unprepared
  • An illness or health issue has disrupted your life and you wonder how to adjust
  • You find yourself repeating the same habits or thinking patterns and you want to do something different
  • You are considering couples therapy because communication feels stuck or conflict just doesn’t resolve

What therapy with me looks like

When we begin working together it starts with a free 15 minute phone consultation. We talk about what brought you here and whether you feel safe working with me. Together we decide if Emotionally Focused Therapy or a mix of CBT attachment and insight oriented approaches is right for you.

In session I offer a supportive and caring stance. I listen deeply and help you name the feelings and thoughts underneath your concerns. We explore how outdated beliefs may be keeping you in place. We develop strategies to help you respond differently. We work as a team. Over time you learn to express yourself more clearly not only to yourself but to people you care about.

Why therapy can bring change

Therapy helps you learn new ways of thinking and being. You become more aware of old patterns that no longer serve you. You gain tools to shift your emotional life intentionally. You learn how your relationship patterns repeat and how to rewrite them.

Whether you are an individual working through grief anxiety or depression or a couple rebuilding trust and connection after conflict or betrayal I will guide and support you on that journey. It is a place of understanding and practical action. You discover that you have the power to change your life and make choices that reflect your values and who you want to become.

Still not sure if now is right

It’s common to wonder if you should wait until you feel worse or until things are truly unmanageable. Often that only makes it harder. Reaching out early gives you an opportunity to grow before pain deepens. Therapy can be a hopeful and empowering step even when life is not in crisis.

If you want to explore whether therapy feels right for you let’s talk. I invite you to call or email for a free consultation. You don’t have to figure this out alone. You never needed to. I am here to walk beside you.
